Expert in glue and dispensing solutions
Huntsman offers a wide range of heat-conductive encapsulants for electric motors under the ARALDITE® brand, all of which meet the highest temperature endurance requirements of car manufacturers. ARALDITE® resin solutions deliver superior heat dissipation and can reduce operating temperature up to 25% compared to standard impregnation technology. This enables designers to choose among several performance improvements: motor size can be reduced by up to 25%, continuous power can be increased by up to 25% or motor cost can be reduced by up to 30%.
Ensuring flawless insulation and physical protection of electric motor components can vastly improve the efficiency and durability of the motor. Typically, the stator or rotor wires are first coated with a layer of varnish (primary insulation) to ensure electrical insulation. After winding, impregnating resin is applied to fill all voids within the windings and between the winding and laminations.
